Form. Function. Schmancy.

We got tired of packaging that gave up too easily.

Boxes breaking before you reach home. Grease seeping through the base. Gift lids that wouldn't sit neatly under the ribbon and bow. Bags tearing under weight. Delivery that takes 40 minutes but packaging that collapses in 15.

It's a small detail… until it isn't. When packaging fails, the product inside doesn't matter anymore.

So we decided to build better.

What We Actually Do

We design and produce packaging that holds up structurally, practically, and visually. Not overbuilt. Not underthought. Not decorative without purpose.

We create packaging that understands weight, heat, travel, stacking, handling and the quiet psychology of first impressions.

We build for

  • Restaurants and cafés
  • Gifting brands and boutique labels
  • Lifestyle and D2C businesses
  • Event curators
  • Retail concepts

From small-batch launches to scaled rollouts, we design around real use and not just catalogue assumptions.

Why Schmancy Exists

Most packaging lives at extremes: mass-produced and forgettable or beautiful but impractical. We believe packaging should do both – perform under pressure and feel considered in hand. Because whether it's a burger, a candle, a garment, or a curated gift box, the outer layer shapes the experience.

If it buckles, leaks, tears, or looks careless, that impression sticks.

We don't just ask what it looks like.
We ask: How far does it travel? How much does it carry? How is it opened? Does it stack? Does it brand well? Does it feel right in hand?

Because packaging isn't just a container. It's the first impression.

Sustainability, Without the Drama

We work with kraft, bagasse, paperboard, and emerging materials like seaweed-based alternatives. But that's not the label. It's a design decision. A strategic one.

A compostable box that fails mid-use creates more waste than it solves. So we prioritise materials that function first and then reduce impact intelligently.
